Introduction:
Well, it’s quite unfortunate women in my country never received their true status, but now the situation is changing, and the status is introducing various laws to uplift the status of women in society.

When it was introduced?
One such law that needs to be appreciated and admired the most is the law against female foeticide introduced by the state a few years ago.

Actually, India is a male-dominated society; parents always wish to have a baby boy, not a baby girl. Earlier, malpractice was, going on in society parents used to get the sex determination test conducted of their child while the child was still in the womb of the mother.

If they know that the child is a baby girl, they used to get it aborted. The situation got so worse that the imbalance result was a huge imbalance between the gender ratio of males and females in my country.

Understanding the gravity of the situation, the government of my country enacted the law against female foeticide.

What is there in this law?
Under this law, this test is completely banned, and if anyone is involved in this malpractice matter, parents or medical experts have medical to pay a severe penalty.

They may even go behind bars. The best thing About this law is that it’s been implemented strictly. This is perhaps the reason the situation has changed greatly.

Now, society’s perception has also changed. People happily accept the birth of baby girls in their homes. In fact, the situation has improved, that in many states, females is outgrowing the number of males.

Why you like it? and Conclusion:
I really appreciate the government for coming up with this law because it has really improved the situation of women in society. Since this law has improved the status and position of women to a great extent, it is good law in favour of women, and I admire it the most.

Model Answers and follow up questions to describe a businessman you admire IELTS cue card:

Model Answer 1:

Introduction:
Well, there are many successful businessmen, and I often read the biographies and watch biopics of such icons.

Who this person is? and How do you know this person?
I recently read an article about a famous south Indian businessman, Ramesh babu, and now he’s the one I admire the most. Actually, he had a very humble start. He lost his parents at an early age and couldn’t go to school.

What kind of business this person does?
For survival, he started giving haircuts to people at 2 rupees only. From an early age, he was quite intelligent and witty, so after saving money from this small venture, he purchased his first second-hand car and started a car rental business.

Along with his new business, he continued to give haircuts. Slowly and steadily, his business grew, and today he is a billionaire.

He has hundreds of cars in his fleet, including expensive cars like Maserati and Rolls-Royce, and it is hard to believe that he still gives a haircut for two rupees at his salon, which shows how humble he is.

Although he lives life king-size, he also donates a lot of money to help people in need. He has helped many people to set up their small businesses to earn their livelihood.

Why do you admire this person?
I admire this person because he contributes greatly to society, and he is a true legend. Now I regularly follow him on social media, especially Twitter, where he shares his innovative ideas and motivate youngsters to have their startups.

Conclusion:
I wish I, too become a successful businessman like Mr Ramesh babu.

IELTS Speaking Part 3 : Follow up Questions

Here some examples of follow up questions that you may asked during your speaking part 3 by examiner related to cue card “describe a businessman you admire”.

1. What do you think should be the retirement age for men and women?
I think rather than based on genders, and the retirement age should be based on professions. In professions where physical fitness is crucial, the retirement age should be on the lower side, while the retirement age could be more in office jobs. In general, I think 60-65 years is the ideal retirement age.

2. What qualities do people need to run their own business?
I think the prime quality is financial management because ultimately, the success of any business depends upon whether it is profitable or not. Besides that, people need to have good leadership qualities, and they must be able to delegate responsibilities effectively. A lot of people who get anxious about delegating responsibilities are not able to grow.

3. What do you think are key factors the contribute to the success of a business?
I think many factors determine whether a business would be successful or not, and the importance of factors varies according to the type of business. For example, a successful restaurant needs a good location, good quality service, and tasty food more than anything else. In general, I would say if the business is providing a product that has a demand and only the particular company can provide it, it is going to be successful.

4. If you had the opportunity to open your own business, what would it be and why?
I am not very good with money management, so I think it would fail at running a business. However, if I had to start one, it would be a bakery. I love to bake, so it would be following a passion rather than running a business for me. And I have heard, if we are truly passionate about something, it is hard to fail.

IELTS Speaking Part 3 :  Follow up Questions

Here some examples of follow up questions that you may asked during your speaking part 3 by examiner related to cue card “describe a good service you received”.

1. What do you think of the relationship between companies and consumers?
I think both companies and customers depend upon each other. Without sales, a company cannot succeed and grow, and without good companies, people cannot get good quality products and services. Thus, it is not surprising that the leading companies like Apple and Amazon also have the best customer service.

2. As a customer, what kinds of services would you expect to receive from a company?
I think companies should fulfil their promises most of all. For example, if companies make promises like one-day installation, the promised work should be done within one day. In addition, if the product provided doesn’t keep up to the standards promised, the company should apologise and reimburse the customers.

3. What kind of jobs involve coping with the public?
I think most service and sales jobs involve coping with the public. Services can be anything like car repair, product installations, healthcare services, teaching, etc. Similarly, although online shopping has reduced interaction, sales to a large extent still entail dealing with the public.

4. Why should companies react quickly when customers have difficulties?
I think it is important to proactively deal with customer’s complaints and difficulties because it can harm the brand reputation of the company, and in today’s competitive era, brand image is paramount to success. In fact, it is also one of the major reasons why companies today are taking on social responsibilities.
